I've been hard at work preparing Jaffa Books for an exciting new launch: Jess E. Owen's brilliant Summer King Chronicles series, which shall be released over the coming days.
These books alone are the cause for my recent fascination with gryphons (or gryfons/griffins/whatever you call them). So much so I've decided to include gryphons into the lore of Farenar. I don't yet know what role they'll play, but for now they'll live in the backstory - they will get a mention in Impossible Magic. Phoenixes too, will get an introduction in the second book, though I had always intended for them to inhabit Farenar. There are plenty more fantasy creatures waiting to be uncovered!
As for the latest on Axinstone: I got my first article in the local paper yesterday, which was quite exciting. It was advertising the book signing I have next weekend, which I am looking forward too. It should be a fantastic occasion and I'm really hoping a fair few people turn up. (Angus & Robertson Capalaba - May 10th 11am for those in East Brisbane!)
Keep the magic alive.
